Changes on the Austrian and Norwegian World Cup teams
Martin Koch is back in the World Cup - FIS
There will be changes on the teams of Austria and Norway for the World Cup in Engelberg (SUI) on the upcoming weekend.
Compared to the last competitions in Titisee-Neustadt, Martin Koch and Thomas Diethart will replace Thomas Morgenstern and Manuel Fettner on the Austrian team.
Thomas Morgenstern can't take part in Engelberg due to the injuries he suffered during his fall on Sunday. He underwent surgery on his broken finger on Monday and already started physiotherapy. According to his own statement the chances that he will be fit on time to compete in the 4-Hills-Tournament are at about 70 %. Manuel Fettner will take part in the Continental Cup in Lahti (FIN) next weekend.
So Martin Koch will compete in the World Cup for the first time this season, for Thomas Diethart this will be the first World Cup competitions outside of Austria. So far the 21-year-old has only been a member of the national group at events of the 4-Hills-Tournament.
"It was really a very positive surprise for me when I got the call about Engelberg. My results recently were okay, but I can jump better. I don't have anything to lose in the World Cup. My goal is to remain cool and show good jumps", said Diethart.
Hilde replaces Jacobsen
For the Norwegians, who are currently training in Oberstdorf, Tom Hilde will return to the World Cup after his competition break. He will take the place of Anders Jacobsen on the team of head coach Alexander Stoeckl.
