German team makes first jumps
on snow in Klingenthal
A week before the World Cup opening, the hill in
Klingenthal is ready. The German team used the opportunity
to train in the Vogtland-Arena already on Saturday
and was happy about the chance to jump on snow there.
"That's perfect for us. Over the past few weeks
we already trained on the ice track in the inrun
in Oberstdorf and Garmisch. Now we can also land
on snow. A huge thanks to the VSC Klingenthal",
said head coach Werner Schuster.
The jumpers were also more than satisfied with the
training conditions shortly before the start of
the season. "That's really great. It's fantastic
to jump on snow in Germany in November. The conditions
are perfect", told Marinus Kraus. And Michael
Neumayer added: "What shall I say? It's old,
it's a bit dirty but it's snow and you can jump
on it."
Various other teams will also start training on
the hill in Klingenthal on Monday.
