Anders Bardal dominates Norwegian Championships

World Champion Anders Bardal dominated the Norwegian Summer Championships on Saturday on the large hill in Trondheim and clearly won the title ahead of Tom Hilde and Ole Marius Ingvaldsen.

Anders Bardal, third-placed of this year's FIS Summer Grand Prix, showed by far the best jumps in both rounds with 139.5 m and 138.5 m and won the national title with a total of 276.0 points.

Tom Hilde, who won the Norges Cup on the same hill on Friday, jumped on 131 m and 132 m and came in second with 250.5 points. The third place went to Ole Marius Ingvaldsen with two jumps on 130.5 m and 246.4 points.

Close behind fourth-placed Robert Johansson, Bjoern Einar Romoeren came in on a very good fifth place. The 32-year-old took part in his first competition after a year-long break due to injury in the Norges Cup a day before where he finished fourth.

"After only a few weeks of jumping training, I can't say that I'm jumping very well. But I'm happy that my jumps in the competition were better than the average level in training. It would be stupid to say that I'm not happy with my results, but of course I want to jump better", Romoeren wrote on his website romoeren.com.

The ladies' title went to Maren Lundby with 128.5 m and 130.5 m (248.3 points), clearly ahead of Helena Olsson Smeby (120.5 m and 127.5 m; 225.0 points) and Gyda Enger (121 m and 125.5 m; 219.8 points).
