HISTORY

NORDIC COMBINED

The first participants of Nordic combined appeared in the 30-es. In Perm they had tried to get good results before the club "The Flyiung Skier" was founded. The first success came in 1966. Alexander Nosov won a silver medal in the 2-nd Winter Sports festival of the USSR on the Uktuss Mountains. That year A. Nosov was included in the USSR team and later he took part in the competitions in this country and abroad. He is a silver winner of the USSR championships (four times), the champion of Russia, the participant of the World Championships (twice), the World Sdudents Games (twice), the Winter Olympic Games in Sapporo, 1972, Japan.

He won the 3-rd prize in ski jump tower jumping in competition with German, Austrian, Finnish sportsmen, but failed in ski competitions. As a result - the seventh place in Nordic combined. Then A. Nosov worked as a trainer and successfully trained young sportsmen, such as V. Rusinov, L. Tchashin, V. Kolpakov, V. Storozhuk, B. Belousov. Later he was at the head of Russian team and the Olympic team of the USSR. For many years he had been at the head of the Perm team, which was the team-winner of Russia and the USSR championships. In 1974 Perm team was the winner in the 3rd National Sportsfestival of the RSFSR.

V. A. Kuznetsov, the trainer of Perm team, paied attention to the future of sportsmaster Vladimir Rusinov during ski competitions. He began to train him in ski jump tower jumping. The 1st starts began, so the 1st success came. In 1-2 years he was included in Perm region team, then - in Russian team. Later he became a winner in the competitions abroad. His ski racing techniques was excellent, but he prefered ski jump towering.

The final training and competitions of the Soviet ski jump tower jumpers and participants of Nordic combined before the Olympic Games in Sapporo was taking place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Our sportsmen A. Nosov and V. Rusinov had a success in that competitions and as a result A. Nosov was included in Russian Olympic team. V. Rusinov was less successful, twice he had a fall from the ski jump tower, but recovered very soon and in month (in February) was included in the students team for participation in the International Students Sportsfestival in Lake Pl. There he won in Nordic combined and in ski jump tower jumping and became a champion twice.

In 1974 V. Rusinov won the 3rd and 4th place when taking part in the 5th Winter Sportsfestival of the RSFSR in Krasnoyarsk and the 5thWinter Sportsfestival of the USSR in Bakuriany. After A. Nosov the chief trainer of Perm sportschool leaving for Moscow, V. Rusinov began to train sportsmen and became the chief trainer of Perm region team and later the chief trainer of the USSR team and was awarded the rank "honoured trainer of the USSR".

Another A. Nosov's pupil - the sportsmaster of international class Leonid Tchashin (first trained with trainer V. Tchernykh). In 1976 Czechoslovakia (V. Tatra), he took part in the International Sdudents Sportsfestival and became a champion in Nordic combined and the 3rd place in ski jump tower jumping. L. Tchashin - the champion of the 6th Winter Sporsfestival in 1978, many times he won in country championships, was a participant of the World Championship. Nowadays he is an honoured trainer of Byelorussia.

In 2003 on veterans world championship in Zakopane (Poland) the Perm sportsmen Alexander Postanogov (in a picture at the left) became the world champion.

The sportsmaster Vladimir Storoshuk from Kizel trained with A. Nosov and V. Tchernykh. As soon as he became a sportsmaster he left for Perm, continued to perfect himself in ski jump tower jumping with his trainer A. Nosov. He was a participant оf the Winter Sportsfestivals of Russia and the USSR. Now he is a trainer.

The sportsmaster Stanislav Bryzgalov (first trained with B. Bykov) came to Nordic combined and began to train with A. Nosov and soon got a success. In Kavgolovo (Russia) Stanislav won in Nordic combined and ski jump tower jumping left behind such sportsmasters as S. Saichik, V. Vlasov, Y. Kalinin. In 1978 he became the bronze winner of the 6th Sportsfestival of Russia.

Another sportsmasters from Perm such as: V. Kolpakov, B. Belousov, V. Veselkov, A .Labsin, V. Valkov, O. Ermolaev, P. Zinnatov, V. Shevelev, V. Yalfimov, P. Gorshkov, M. Antipov, I. Baryshnikov, V. Polyakov, A. Shishkin, K. Tchudinov, K. Tchikalov, I. Tatarkin, A. Adokov, V. Yeremeev, P. and E.Semenovs and others.

The sportsmaster Sergey Tchervyakov (training with N. P. Vaganov, an honoured trainer) won in Lysva ski jump tower and ski route. In Perm he continued to perfect himself in ski jump tower jumping and got high results.

The sportsmaster of international class Denis Tishagin got perfect results in Nordic combined for the last 2-3 years (training with A. V. Garanin). He had being a member of the Russian team for 10 years. He has been a repeated champion of Russia and a participant of the World championship and Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan, also has high results in the World's Cup competitions. Now D. Tishagin - is a candidate for the Olympic Games in 2002.

The participant of Nordic combined, sportsmaster of international class Nikolai Parfenov (training with A. V. Babushkin - an honoured trainer of Russia) also has got good results: three times he becomes the champion of Russia, the winner of the World and Russia Cups. In 1999 he is was included in Russian team to take part in the world championship in Ramzau (Austria) and thanks to him the team won bronze medals.
