Ski jump complex and training
centre "Snezhinka"
Ski jump tower - 10, 20, 40, 70, 90 m. Training
centre - the Sportschool - 150 pupils and the
Institute of Physical culture.
The 1st 40 m ski jump tower was built in 1980
(record 42 m, V.Begunov). The 2nd 70 m ski jump
tower - in 1984 (record 65 m, G.Prokopenko). The
3rd 90 m ski jump tower - in 1985 (record 98 m,
P.Kustov).
One sportsmaster of international class, ten sportsmasters,
two participants of the Olympic Games, five participants
of the World Championship, five winners of the
USSR, "Trud" and "Burevestnik"
championships were prepared in the training centre.
The training centre "Snezhinka" and
the sportschool are in municipal and the Physical
Culture Institute's subordination. The 1st ski
jump towers were built in 1980 and 1984. Sportsmen
from Tchaikovsky such as: I.Kulakov, A.Beznosov,
A.Adokov, E.Bogdanov, V.Kalabin successfuly took
part in Russian and international competitions.
All of them were the candidates for Russian junior
team. Students of the Physical Culture Institute,
famous sportsmasters G.Prokopenko, S.Tchervyakov,
S.Bondar, A.Simonov, I.Garifulin, P.Pashkin, S.Bryzgalov
took part in different competitions - Russian
Winter Sportsfestivals, the USSR championships,
the Olympic Games. Such trainers as: V.P.Rusinov
(honoured trainer of the RSFSR), G.S.Butorin,
S.B.Skrebkov, Y.N. and V.N.Begunov, A.N.Kolchanov.
In 1958 and 1989 the final starts of the 8th and
9th Russian Winter Sportsfestival and the 1st
USSR Junior Games took place in Tchaikovsky ski
jump towers. The most great competitions - the
8th and 9th Winter Sportsfestival of the RSFSR
in 1985 and 1989, the USSR championship in 1989
and 1994.
