Young Norwegian athletes learn from the national team
Norway's top ski jumpers were coaching the youngsters - FIS
The tenth annual Konica Minolta Youth Camp was organized by the Norwegian Ski Association last week. In the previous years the event took place in Zakopane (POL), Pragelato (ITA) and Oernskoeldsvik (SWE), this time it was held in Oslo.
During this week-long camp 230 kids had the chance to not only meet the Norwegian top ski jumpers around World Champion Anders Bardal, but also to train with them and receive some valuable advice.
Besides the members of the current Norwegian national team, head coach Alexander Stoeckl and sports director Clas Brede Brathen, also a few more well-known guests came to Oslo for this special camp.
FIS race director Walter Hofer spoke about the past, present and future of ski jumping, former 4-Hills-Tournament winner Sigurd Pettersen explained the kids how important it is to have fun in different kinds of sports and Lasse Ottesen encouraged especially the girls to also try nordic combined.
During these five days in the Norwegian capitol everything was about ski jumping for the young athletes. They were able to gain valuable experiences, enjoy memorable moments and had the chance to set new personal records every day.
