Austrian Martin Koch officially ended his career
at the World Cup final last March in Planica. Now
he found a new job and with that he will stay involved
in ski jumping.
Besides Andreas Goldberger, the 32-year-old will
be working as the second co-commentator for the
ski jumping coverage on the Austrian TV station
ORF.
"I hope I can entertain you a little bit :)!!
I?m really looking forward to my new job – from
now on I have to analyse and train till winter that
I don?t talk nonsense :)", Martin Koch writes
on his website martinkoch.at.
The 2006 team Olympic Champion will replace his
uncle Armin Kogler and was already in Vienna for
some tests. "There they checked if I'm suitable
for the job. It worked. I never did anything like
this before but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. And I wanted
to stay involved in ski jumping anyway. Now I can
be on location more often and question the guys
a bit", Koch told the Austrian newspaper "Kleine
Zeitung".
