The two ski jumpers Bigna Windmueller of Switzerland
and Wendy Vuik of the Netherlands have both decided
to end her careers.
"Thanks to ski jumping I gained many experiences
over the past years and I learnt a lot in this fascinating
sport. I'm grateful and proud now looking back on
a great time. Now I will take care of my future
career and I'm looking forward to this new stage
in my life", said Windmueller, who achieved
her best World Cup result as third in Zao this January.
Wendy Vuik also decided to focus on her career after
competitive sports. "Other nations simply have
better training conditions than us. This is a little
frustrating. I want to work as a teacher, so I have
to study the next four years", the 25-year-old
said to ladiesskijumping.com.
