The weather was better on the second day of competition
in Nizhniy Tagil, instead of snowfall there was
sunshine, but it was still very windy. And so also
the final competition of this COC season started
under difficult conditions.
After 25 jumpers the competition was interrupted
for 20 minutes, then it was decided to restart the
first round, that originally started at 8:00 am
CET, at 12:00 pm CET.
But at 11:30 am CET the jury decided to cancel the
competition due to the strong wind. At the time
of the cancelation Italian Alessio De Crignis was
in the lead with a jump on 127 m and 97.7 points,
ahead of the two Russians Alexander Shuvalov (123
m; 91.1 points) and Ilmir Hazetdinov (121 m; 84.4
points).
Manuel Fettner of Austria won the overall title
of the Continental Cup 2013/14 with a total of 803
points, followed by Nejc Dezman (731 points) and
Rok Justin (689 points) of Slovenia.
