Tenth win for Sara Takanashi

Sara Takanashi took her tenth win in the 13th event this season and so the competition in Hinzenbach was a successful test for the Olympic Games for her. With jumps on 88.5 m and 92.5 m and a total of 245.2 points the Japanese clearly won ahead of local hero Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, who jumped on 89 m twice for 238.4 points and repeated her second place of the day before. 3.6 points behind Iraschko-Stolz, Finland's Julia Kykkaenen came in third with 86.5 m and 88.5 m and achieved her first podium result in the World Cup.

Takanashi can now already win the this season's overall World Cup title in the first competition after the Olympics in Rasnov.

Slovenes strong again

The fourth place in Hinzenbach went to Maja Vtic, who missed the podium by only 2.8 points with her jumps on 92 m and 86 m. The Slovenian team showed yet another fantastic team performance. Besides Vtic, also Eva Logar (217.9 points) in seventh, Spela Rogelj (213.8 points in tenth and Ursa Bogataj (11th) and Katja Pozun (14th) five athletes of Slovenia were in the Top 15. Carina Vogt, second in the overall World Cup, also missed the podium in the second competition in Austria. After her fourth place on Saturday, she was fifth this time with 88.5 m and 85 m (229.8 points). Yuki Ito was sixth, 5.5 points behind, Irina Avvakumova was eighth with 217.4 points.

Best World Cup result for Haefele

Anna Haefele achieved her best World Cup result in ninth with 215.1 points shortly before this season's highlight. Also her teammates Katharina Althaus and Ramona Straub in 12th and 15th were in the Top 15 today. Best Italian was Elena Runggaldier in 13th, her best result this season. Chiara Hoelzl, 13th on Saturday, came in 16th in this competition, Czech Michaela Dolezelova was 19th.

Blazkova scores points for the first time

Her teammate Barbora Blazkova scored World Cup points for the first time in her career in 24th. Sabrina Windmueller of Switzerland and Dana Vasilica Haralambie (30th) could also score points.

The ladies' competition in Sochi will take place on February 11th, the World Cup continues on March 1st and 2nd in Rasnov, Romania.
