After Nejc Dezman of Slovenia won both Continental Cup competitions on the normal hill in Sapporo, Germany's Markus Eisenbichler took both wins on the large hill this weekend.

The 22-year-old, who celebrated his first win in the COC on Saturday, followed up on this performance on Sunday and dominated the competition with two consistently strong jumps on 136.5 m and 137 m and a total of 287.8 points. "This weekend was great, I also liked the Okura-hill a lot. It's a pity that we didn't have the wind compensation here today. Now I'm already looking forward to the next competitions", Eisenbichler said after his second win in Japan.

Junshiro Kobayashi of Japan repeated his second place of Saturday's competition, but with 121.5 m and 135 m (258.2 points) he was already almost 30 points behind the winner. With his good results, Kobayashi can now hope to compete also in the World Cup in Sapporo next week. "Today I had the feeling that my shape was improving. If I'll get the opportunity to participate in the World Cup I want to jump even better."

Robert Hrgota of Slovenia, who closely missed the Top 3 on Saturday, was third and achieved his second podium result this weekend with 253.5 points (130 m and 125 m). "I'm satisfied with today's result. I had two good jumps, although the wind was changing. I think that the whole weekend was a success for me."

18-year-old Canadian Dusty Korek, 19th after the first round, posted the longest jump of the day with 139 m in the final and moved up to fourth overall, for him by far the best result ever in the Continental Cup.

Behind Korek, Simen Key Grimsrud came in fifth and was again the best Norwegian, followed by the second best of the German team, Danny Queck. Anze Semenic of Slovenia, on a shared 19th place with Korek after the first round, moved up to seventh with a strong second jump.

Nejc Dezman, third at half time with good chances to achieve yet another podium finish, came in ninth, behind Swiss Gregor Deschwanden (8th), after a 117 m jump in the final round. Pius Paschke of Germany completed the Top 10 in the final event of a long weekend in Sapporo.

Slovene Nejc Dezman now leads in the overall ranking of the Continental Cup with 430 points, ahead of his teammate Robert Hrgota (383 points) and Austrian Manuel Poppinger (354 points).
