Schlierenzauer can be 2nd man to win the Four Hills 3 years in a row

>>

Gregor Schlierenzauer (AUT) has won the last two Four Hills tournaments.

>>

Schlierenzauer can become the second man to win the tournament in three consecutive seasons and the first to do so in 45 years. Björn Wirkola (NOR) won it in 1967, 1968 and 1969.

>>

Schlierenzauer can become the fifth man overall to win the Four Hills tournament on three or more occasions after Janne Ahonen (FIN, 5), Jens Weißflog (GDR/GER, 4), Helmuth Recknagel (GDR, 3) and Wirkola (3).

>>

Schlierenzauer has finished in the top three in the Four Hills standings on four separate occasions. He can become the fifth man to be on the Four Hills tournament podium five or more times, after Ahonen (10), Weißflog (9), Wirkola (6) and Matti Nykänen (FIN, 5).

Schlierenzauer could become the all-time Four Hills wins leader

>>

Schlierenzauer has won nine individual Four Hills events – three in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and two each in Oberstdorf, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen.

>>

Schlierenzauer and Ahonen, who also has nine individual Four Hills victories, are both one short of the record of 10 wins, held by Wirkola and Weißflog.

>>

In order to set a new record this season, Schlierenzauer would need to win at least two of the four hills. He has won two hills in a season four different times, including each of the last two seasons.

>>

Schlierenzauer has 15 individual Four Hills podiums, fifth on the all-time list. This season, he could potentially equal or surpass both Andreas Goldberger (AUT, 17) and Wirkola (18).

>>

Schlierenzauer has made all four Four Hills podiums in one season twice (2012 and 2013) and he can equal Weißflog's record of three different seasons with four Four Hills podiums. Weißflog did it in 1984, 1994 and 1996. Ahonen could also theoretically achieve this, having made all four podiums in 2005 and 2008, but it appears less likely.

Austria can win its 6th straight Four Hills tournament

>>

Austrian jumpers have won the last five Four Hills tournaments – Schlierenzauer the last two seasons, Thomas Morgenstern in 2011, Andreas Kofler in 2010 and Wolfgang Loitzl in 2009.

>>

This is already a record for most consecutive Four Hills triumphs for one country.

>>

In Austria's five years of dominance, Austrian jumpers have won 15 of the 20 hills. Norway (3) and Switzerland (2) are the only other countries to have won a Four Hills event during the last five years.

>>

Austria has won the Four Hills tournament 14 times, two short of Finland's record of 16. All German states combined also have 16 wins – 11 for East Germany, three for Germany and two for West Germany.

Ahonen needs one more podium to set a new Four Hills record

>>

Janne Ahonen, who has won the Four Hills tournament more times than anyone else, is equal with Weißflog with 29 podiums in Four Hills competitions.

>>

With one more podium, Ahonen will become the first man to reach 30 Four Hills podiums.

>>

Ahonen's last Four Hills podium was a second place in Bischofshofen in 2010, one of his three Four Hills podiums that season.

Stoch can become 2nd Pole to win the Four Hills

>>

World Cup leader Kamil Stoch (POL) can become the second Polish man to win the Four Hills after Adam Malysz, who won it in 2001.

>>

Malysz is the only Polish man to win an individual Four Hills event. His two wins came in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen in his victorious campaign of 2001.

>>

Stoch's best overall Four Hills result was fourth in the 2013 tournament.

>>

His only individual podium to date was a second place finish in Innsbruck in last season's tournament.
