Three weeks before the start of the Olympic-Winter
2013/14 the teams from the Far East now announced
their competitors for the first World Cups of the
season.
Veteran Noriaki Kasai, Daiki Ito, Taku Takeuchi,
Reruhi Shimizu and Yuta Watase will represent Japan
in the first weeks of the winter in the World Cup
events in Klingenthal (GER), Kuusamo (FIN), Lillehammer
(NOR) and Titisee-Neustadt (GER).
Korea will also take part in the season opener in
Germany with a full team of four. Head coach Wolfgang
Hartmann named Heung Chul Choi, Chil Ku Kang, Seou
Choi and Hyun Ki Kim on his team for the competitions
in the Vogtland-Arena. Heung Chul Choi and Chil
Ku Kang will then also compete in Kuusamo and Lillehammer.
"On the basis of the results in Scandinavia
the cards are going to be reshuffled for Neustadt
and Engelberg. Athletes of the Korean Ski Association
will compete in all the World and Continental Cups",
Wolfgang Hartmann told FISskijumping.com.
At the COC in Engelberg after Christmas it will
then be decided who will get the chance to take
part in this season's first highlight, the 4-Hills-Tournament.
