Bjoern Einar Romoeren will take part in two competitions
this weekend and make his comeback after almost
exactly a year-long break due to injury.
The former world record holder had to undergo surgery
for a herniated disk last October and was not able
to compete since then. Now he will start his comeback
and participate in the "Norges Cup" and
the national summer championships on the large hill
in Trondheim.
"It took some time, but you need be patient.
It's fun to finally get to wear a bib again now",
the 32-year-old is quoted on the website of the
Norwegian Ski Association.
Head coach Alexander Stoeckl already saw Bjoern
Einar Romoeren in training at the Midtstubakken
in Oslo and is happy about his comeback. "It's
very nice to see him jump again and actually it
looked pretty good. But Bjoern Einar still needs
time, he has to take it step by step", the
Austrian said on skiforbundet.no.
Next week Romoeren will then travel to Oberstdorf,
Germany, for a training camp together with 30 other
Norwegian jumpers.
