The full resultWorld Cup leader
Anders Jacobsen returned to ski jump action on Saturday
by winning his fourth World Cup event of the season
on the big hill at Willingen.
The Norwegian produced jumps of 148.0m and 139.0m
for a total of 283.1 points which saw him ease to
victory ahead of home favourite Michael Uhrmann.
(276.2 points).
The man of the day award however, went to Slovenia's
Jernej Damjan who finished third.
Before today, Damjan's sole Top 20 finish of the
season came at Lillehammer on the big hill where
he finished eight in early December.
However, it was Jacobsen who was the class act again,
as he returned to action after having decided to
skip the last event Klingenthal.
His world cup lead was put under a little bit of
pressure there when Austrian Gregor Schlierenzauer
was victorious, but he now has a 172 point advantage
over his teen rival, after Schlierenzauer could
only finish 17th.
Many of the other big names also struggled on the
day, with Adam Malysz (7th), Andreas Kuettel (8th)
Simon Ammann (11th) all failing to make the top
five.
It was Norway's Sigurd Pettersen who finished fourth,
while Austria's Wolfgang Loitzl was fifth.
