Engelberg resultsNorway's Anders
Jacobsen preserved his first round lead to seal
his first-ever World Cup victory in the large hill
at Engelberg on Sunday.
The 21-year-old produced a second round leap of
137.5 metres, the second biggest jump of the round,
to lengthen his lead from the morning and give him
a final total of 280.9 points, over 14 points clear
of Simon Amman in second.
Ammann produced the biggest jump of the second round,
touching down at 138 metres, though is likely to
rue his underwhelming morning effort.
Gregor Schlierenzauer rounded off the podium, and
was the highest place of three Austrians in the
top ten along with Martin Koch in fourth and Thomas
Morgenstern in seventh.
World Cup champion Jakub Janda finished in 5th,
his best result of the campaign so far, while Poland's
Adam Malysz finished in sixth, suggesting his form
is improving after a poor start to the season,
Janne Ahonen again struggled for form, finishing
down in 14th position.
